UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.
At the UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital – Community Cancer Center, local doctors, nurses and support personnel have teamed up with one goal in mind – to provide exceptional cancer care.
- Established team of physicians and Advanced Practitioners
- Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic seeing 100 + new patients monthly
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
- Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
- Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- Infusion, Lab, and Clinic onsite
- Social Work, Nurse Navigator, Dietician, Tumor registrar, and Pharmacist onsite
- Supportive administration and full IT system support
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities
- Practice includes full-service infusion and typical outpatient oncology Clinic
- Average 14-18 Patients per day
- Tumor Board meets 2X Month for Breast and Lung/General 2X Monthly
- Procedures include infusion, lab, bone marrow biopsy onsite
- Call 1:6 alternating primary call with back-up call and APP support
- Large Hospitalist team supports specialists
- Community Outreach to include prevention and detection services
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
