We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatology Physician for locum tenens coverage at a 366‑bed hospital in Waterloo, IA. This patient‑focused facility offers advanced healthcare services and supports a Level III NICU with a collaborative care team. The role includes inpatient neonatal care and 24‑hour call coverage.
Schedule & Coverage Details- Up to 16 shifts per month
- Shift length: 24‑hour shifts
- Patient contact: Approximately 8 hours per shift
- Call: 24‑hour call coverage
- Weekends: As needed
- NICU: 10‑bed Level III NICU (capacity up to 12 infants short‑term)
- Average Daily Census (ADC): 6.3 patients
- Patient Population: Neonates ≥28 weeks gestation
