Anesthesiologist

An experienced anesthesiologist is needed for a locum tenens opportunity in Waterloo, Iowa. The clinician will provide operating room coverage Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, along with rotating call duties. This position operates under an anesthesiologist supervision model overseeing on-site CRNAs with zero hands-on clinical requirements.

Practice Info

• Operating room facility in Waterloo, Iowa
• Facility holds Level III Trauma Center and Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit designations, along with Accredited Chest Pain Center status, Joint Commission designations, Magnet Recognition, and BCBS Distinctions
• Case load of 30-50 cases for whole department per day
• Anesthesiologist supervision model with 0% hands-on MD
• Support staff includes a group of 6 physicians and 2 CRNAs on site
• On-site location type

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens anesthesiology coverage at an operating room facility
• Provide supervision of on-site CRNAs
• Provide call coverage on a rotating schedule

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed:
  Weeks of Nov 23, Dec 21, Dec 28;
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day will not be worked
• Day shift, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call coverage required on a rotating schedule of every 3-4 days, seven days per week
