Job Responsibilities We are strictly looking for locum tenens coverage for On Call shifts
This includes inpatient and call coverage at both Cedar Falls and Waterloo Medical Center no clinic responsibilities.
Per the group some nights they receive zero calls while other nights it is a few calls Call Coverage Requirements — Non-Negotiable Coverage includes orthopedic call for Waterloo and Cedar Falls plus phone consults from regional partner and allied hospitals. The physician must review the case provide guidance and accept appropriate patients through the Waterloo ED when needed. The physician is not expected to travel to outside facilities.
Cases outside local capability may be directed to a higher level of care. Open Shifts must be able to cover:

Epic Enterprise Procedures offered in the practice:
History and physical exam admit evaluate diagnose treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages to correct or treat various conditions illnesses and injuries of the extremities spine and associated structures by medical surgical and physical means.
Such conditions include but are not limited to trauma infections tumors metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system deformities injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine hands feet knee hip shoulder and elbow and include primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system.
Orthopedic surgeons may provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies.
They may also assess stabilize and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
Facility - 750/round trip cap to include all taxes and fees. No upgraded airfares or seat upgrades
Lodging - 1.5x the GSA rate cap average for the total stay to include taxes and fees. Preferred Hotel:
Fairfield Inn amp Suites - Waterloo Rental Car - 55/day cap including all taxes and fees regardless of car class. SUV/upgrades over cap will need to be preapproved will only be approved if needed for inclement weather. Preferred Rental Car companies:
Enterprise or National Mileage - IRS Standard Rate Bill Rates Needed for Submission:
Malpractice must be included in the rates
