Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), overtime possible
Description
Provides quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing/distribution operations to ensure product quality meets customer expectations. Applies quality tools within EPDP, EOFP, CSP, and supports supplier quality efforts as part of quality planning.
Major Duties
- Contribute to analyzing information and defining methods, process steps, machinery, and equipment needed to design and improve manufacturing or materials processes within cost and quality standards.
- Support design of engineering solutions, feasibility testing approaches, and oversee implementation of tests.
- Assist in drafting engineering standards/specifications and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Conduct inspections under guidance of senior team members to assess engineering work, installations, or structures; provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers and act as a primary point of contact within established contract plans.
- Identify gaps in existing processes/systems and help implement changes through established change management programs.
- Support knowledge management efforts by assisting others with proper system usage.
- Perform product development and engineering activities and use established systems to assess customer needs.
- Work within defined project management plans to achieve deliverables.
- Participate in capability development, training, assessments, and continuous learning to maintain relevant technical and regulatory knowledge.
Role Overview
This role is essential to ensuring product quality and process efficiency in precision assembly operations. The position is hands-on, requiring significant time on the shop floor collaborating with production teams.
Additional Responsibilities
- Spend roughly 80% of daily work hours on the shop floor supporting quality initiatives.
- Conduct quality assurance checks, inspections, and audits for manufacturing output.
- Identify and resolve production quality issues in partnership with shop floor operators.
- Analyze processes and implement improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Document findings, perform root cause analysis, and create corrective action plans.
- Provide support in precision assembly tasks when required.
- Work approximately 2–3 hours of overtime per week depending on operational needs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with quality engineering principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in precision assembly operations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
