SUMMARYThe primary focus of the Mortgage Sales Supervisor is to oversee and be knowledgeable of all areas of mortgage sales. The Mortgage Sales Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of origination employees, as well as compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. The position also drives growth in loan production and the origination team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Cultivate and maintain relationships with realtors through daily contact, regular visits and attending real estate-related functions.
- Report to management volume generated by realtor relationships and feedback given during conversations.
- Knowledgeable of all functions performed by and all products and services offered by the Mortgage Lending Department.
- Maintain optimum staffing levels to insure a high quality of member service and department efficiency.
- Work with Manager of Mortgage Lending on special projects, including research, preparation and distribution of reports and follow-up.
- Assist in the research of new products and services and initiate changes by including Mortgage Lending team members in the development and implementation of operational procedures.
- Deliver ongoing training and coaching to Mortgage Loan Originators, including but not limited to technology, Realtor relationship management, member service, lending procedure updates, etc.
- Develop, update and maintain training materials used by Mortgage Loan Originators.
- Conduct reviews for Mortgage Loan Originators on a periodic basis, identifying areas for improvement and implement changes when appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of all policies, procedures, laws and regulations affecting the operation of the department. Maintain a general knowledge of policies, procedures, laws and regulations affecting the credit union operation.
- Collaborate with others reporting to the Manager of Mortgage Lending to facilitate effective and efficient operation of the departments. As such, possesses a general knowledge of all lending functions in departments not directly supervised.
- Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate loan volume during periods of peak demand.
- Provide on-going coaching to all team members that encourages personal, professional and career development. Clearly define expectations of all team members.
- Interview and hire the most qualified applicant for position openings. Provide initial orientation and on-going support to team members on the mission, vision, values and leadership culture of the organization.
- Plan and prepare for the future by being open minded, perceptive, and proactive. Make decisions that support the members, the department and the organization as a whole both financially and strategically.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience of 8+ years.
- 5+ years of progressive work experience.
- Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System r.
- Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel.
