Essential Functions
  • Own and oversee the day-to-day residential mortgage pipeline and lock desk workflow from rate lock through secondary market sale, including processing rate lock requests, reprices, extensions, relocks, and cancellations; monitoring pipeline status, lock expirations, fallout, and delivery deadlines; resolving exceptions and coordinating with Mortgage Lending in accordance with approved pricing and lock policies, established timelines, and expectations.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of rate lock information, pricing, loan-level adjustments, investor selection, and related data maintained in the loan origination and pricing systems.
  • Administer daily mortgage rates and repricing activities through designated product and pricing systems, maintaining approved pricing assumptions, adjustments, and model inputs.

Develop, analyze, and monitor the profitability of loan sale activities and the mortgage portfolio, providing financial insights and recommendations to support pricing, retention, and secondary market strategies.

  • Maintain subject-matter ownership of secondary market practices by monitoring market conditions, investor pricing, eligibility and delivery requirements, industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices; assess potential impacts; and communicate recommendations and financial insights to Finance and Mortgage leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Veridian's mortgage lending investor regarding loan sale commitments, delivery, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and resolution of pricing or delivery issues for mortgage transactions.
  • Support the end-to-end structuring and execution of whole loan and participation sales across mortgage, commercial, auto, and specialty loan portfolios, including pricing, due diligence, documentation, settlement, and funding.
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with approved investors, purchasers, vendors, and internal business partners.
  • Produce timely and accurate reporting on pipeline exposure, rate-lock activity, hedge performance, fallout, gain-on-sale results, loan sales, and participation activity.
  • Support mortgage forecasting, liquidity analysis, budgeting, audit and examination requests, process improvements, and other related financial analysis.
