Job Overview

Advanced Practice Provider (Psychiatry) – Trinity Health – Waterloo, Iowa

• Established, well-respected behavioral health practice
• Clinic-based role with shared call responsibilities
• Current team: 1 General Psychiatrist, 1 Child Psychiatrist, 1 Psychiatric Hospitalist, 1 ARNP
• Facilities: 20-bed Inpatient Unit at Waterloo Medical Center, Horizons Chemical Dependency Unit
• Large support staff of psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions
• Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic responses
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient education and support for families
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Current Iowa license as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Psychiatric Mental Health certification required
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry strongly desired
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday with shared call as noted above
• Compensation:
