Lead Patient Access Representative - Orthopedic Surgery - Waterloo Medical Center - Full Time
Join the Mercy One Family! We are looking to hire a Lead Patient Access Representative at Mercy One.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the computerized scheduling application and process for the entire clinic enterprise.
- Provide training to staff and assist with changes/upgrades of computer software.
- Coordinate the telephone system for clinics by monitoring the Navigator software, providing training to staff, and assisting with changes/upgrades to the phone system.
- Act as the master scheduler for the clinic enterprise and serve as a resource post implementation.
- Maintain patient recall database and reports. Distribute recall letters to scheduling staff.
- Orients and trains on scheduling application and phone system.
- Annually move the end dates of all current providers ahead and keep a record of all providers listed in the system.
Qualifications:
- High School plus specialized training (min. 6 months – 2 years):
Completion of Medical Secretary program and/or equivalent training and education. - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with provider schedules.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Education:
