LPN​/MA; Medical Assistant): Waterloo Family Practice

Overview

LPN / MA (Medical Assistant) at Waterloo Family Practice. This full-time position is scheduled for day shifts (80 hours/month; Monday-Friday).

• Analyze records for completeness and patient history.
• Prepare exam/procedure rooms and equipment for patient care.
• Greet, identify patient and prepare patient for exam while protecting patient’s privacy.
• Review/document current medication and allergies.
• Take vital signs, obtain chief complaints, history, and documents.
• Assist provider with routine procedures and provide patient care as directed by provider (e.g., immunizations, spirometry, injections, EKG, nebulizer, ear cleansing, wart removal).
• Assist providers with patient care via phone, mail and/or fax.
• Communicate effectively between provider and patient.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Diploma or LPN/RN license.
• 6-month experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Intermediate language, math, reasoning ability; basic computer skills; ability to work with diverse groups and interact with health care professionals and the public; ability to present a positive image; ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

80hrs/Full Time, Monday-Friday;
Day Shift.
