Employment Details- Part time – 24 hrs a week2nd shift (off‑peak hours)
- Every other weekend
- 3 holiday rotations a year
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- One‑year medical office experience (scheduling, insurance, or registration) preferred. Hospital experience and/or medical terminology preferred.
- Intermediate language, basic math, and intermediate reasoning ability.
- Strong computer skills – Windows experience; database software, mainframe information systems.
- Ability to convey a positive image and communicate tactfully and professionally with staff, patients, and the public.
- Ability to articulate hospital policies and regulations.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people and under pressure.
- High school plus specialized training (minimum 6 months – 2 years). Completion of a Medical Secretary program or other general office training preferred.
