• Part time – 24 hrs a week2nd shift (off‑peak hours)
• Every other weekend
• 3 holiday rotations a year

• Ability to read, write, and understand English, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
• One‑year medical office experience (scheduling, insurance, or registration) preferred. Hospital experience and/or medical terminology preferred.
• Intermediate language, basic math, and intermediate reasoning ability.
• Strong computer skills – Windows experience; database software, mainframe information systems.
• Ability to convey a positive image and communicate tactfully and professionally with staff, patients, and the public.
• Ability to articulate hospital policies and regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people and under pressure.

• High school plus specialized training (minimum 6 months – 2 years). Completion of a Medical Secretary program or other general office training preferred.
