Massage Therapist

Overview

Friendship Village Retirement Community is adding an additional Licensed Massage Therapist to join our Essence Day Spa located in our stunning Village Terrace Independent Living building. Massage therapists work primarily in a shared space as well as periodically in our Assisted Living and Healthcare Centers located on our campus. Your time will include providing professional, quality massages to residents and employees of Friendship Village.

You will have a high amount of autonomy in your role including having a flexible schedule.

• Provide professional massage therapy to residents and employees in a shared spa space and at times in Assisted Living and Healthcare Centers on campus.
• Maintain a high level of autonomy with a flexible schedule.
• Contribute to a calm and positive massage therapy experience for clients.

• Must be licensed in the State of Iowa
• Graduated from a massage therapy training program approved by the State of Iowa
• Ability to provide a full menu of massage services - previous experience is preferred
• Interact in a calm and positive manner while providing massage therapy experiences
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with residents and staff
• Maintain Professional Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1 million /claim; $3 million aggregate coverage
• Ability to work occasionally at planned events throughout the year

All spa supplies and product are provided.
