Position

Purpose:

Serve as a key part of our patient care team providing daily cares.

Employment Type:

Part time

Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift

• Supports the team in identifying patient needs and implementing the outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Assists the patient care team in the delivery of care.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to others to optimize patient outcomes/goals.
• Performs unit-based functions as assigned.

This position is for any acute care/medical-surgical areas at the Waterloo Medical Center location. Areas include:
Cardiac/Nephrology Unit;
Post Surgical Unit;
Orthopedics/Neurology Unit. All unit colleagues will float depending on patient census.

• 6 FTE; 48 hours per bi-weekly pay period
• 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation
• Night shift; 6:45am - 7:15pm

Verification (by transcript or certification) of successful completion of one of the following:

• Nurse Aide I course
• Nursing Fundamentals course
• Nurse Aid Competency Test

Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing job duties.
