Production Supervisor

We are currently seeking a full-time Production Supervisor for our printing facility in Waterloo, Iowa
.

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

• Assign daily work to departmental employees.
• Order materials/supplies for planned work.
• Communicate production goals and procedural instructions to individual employees as well as the department in general.
• Coaching and guiding personnel on work performance, including equipment operation.
• Communicate with other departments/production facilities to ensure orders are completed correctly within quoted timelines (or provide updates if orders are delayed for any reason).
• Recordkeeping to include production labor reports, materials usage (inventory), as well as personnel information (attendance, performance).
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/

Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Prior printing and/or production management experience strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be organized and able to plan work based on due dates, cost, efficiency, etc.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions (add/subtract/multiply/divide/calculate percentages) and accurately use a ruler to measure paper.
• Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
