Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

We’re seeking a PDP Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly to work onsite at John Deere Waterloo Works – Tractor Operations. Sound good? Take a closer look below. $37 – $42 per hour

1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm); minimal overtime

• Competitive pay rate with weekly direct deposit.
• Work only onsite in a shop floor environment where ~50% of your time will be spent on your feet.
• Engage in factory activities involving metatarsal safety boots and occasional intra-facility travel.
• Opportunity to drive a John Deere Gator within the factory (upon completion of safety training).

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge in one of the following areas: manufacturing, distribution, quality, tool design, maintenance, facilities

• Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, power systems, etc.)
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Experience with manufacturing software like:
  Creo View, AutoCAD, SAP

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent experience (required)
• Recent graduates considered; manager prefers GPA listed on resume

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, One Note, etc.)
• 3D Modeling (Creo View, Solid Works, etc.)
• AutoCAD

• Fully onsite (no remote); business casual dress code
• Will need metatarsal safety boots for first day
• Must be comfortable with shop floor/factory environment
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Interview preference:
  Teams/virtual, but onsite may be considered for local candidates
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
• May drive a John Deere Gator inside the factory; must complete Deere safety training for approval
• May drive personal vehicle to other local facilities within 20-mile radius; no rental cars used
