Security Guard, Site Security, Unarmed Security
Patrols Waterloo Medical Center campus and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Periodically tours buildings and grounds, checks doors, windows and gates. Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, routes or details them or calls the police. Monitoring of improper parking. Escorts personnel as requested. Adheres to Mercy One's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Mercy One.

What You Will Do
:
Makes rounds/patrols premises. Responds to and resolves problems. Provides documentation. Coordinates efforts to maintain/improve safety. Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
:
High School or Equivalent (GED) Prior experience preferred. Valid IA driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Mandatory Reporter. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
Physical And Mental Requirements And Working Conditions
:
Driving hazards, exposure to hazardous conditions (weather, traffic, noise, and vehicle mechanical failure). Travel may include hazardous road conditions.
