Routing Specialist

The Routing Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of mail, documents, and small packages between the various company locations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient communication and operations by delivering sensitive materials securely and accurately. The mail services specialist will also assist in basic record-keeping and maintain a professional and dependable presence while representing the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport mail, documents, packages, and other materials to and from designated locations according to the daily delivery schedule.
  • Ensure the secure handling of sensitive or confidential materials, adhering to organizational privacy policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, including timestamps and signatures as required.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain the company vehicle, ensuring it remains clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
  • Communicate promptly with clinic staff regarding any delays, issues, or discrepancies during deliveries.
  • Handle any unexpected challenges, such as traffic delays or package issues, with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Perform minor administrative tasks, such as logging mileage or reporting maintenance needs for the vehicle.
  • Assist with other operational duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This position is part-time. Schedule will be M-F mornings, working every other week. No weekends. No holidays.

Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with local area and navigation tools (e.g., GPS).
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries.
  • Trustworthiness and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to adjust to route changes or additional tasks.
