Client Manager – Overview

Driving client‑focused finance professional. Based in Waterlooville, a small team of around 20 employees. The role involves managing a portfolio of small business clients and supporting the firm’s growth and reputation.

• Managing a portfolio of small business clients (sole traders, limited companies, directors).
• Ensuring high‑quality service and client satisfaction.
• Building strong relationships through face‑to‑face meetings, phone contact, and proactive advice.
• Assisting in the development and training of trainees: reviewing their work and supporting their integration and growth.
• Contributing to the firm’s reputation with effective communication, technical expertise, and proactive client support.
• Supporting the wider team in delivering seamless accountancy solutions and helping grow the client base through referrals.

• Previous experience in a practice environment and good understanding of small business client needs.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and able to hit the ground running.
• Relevant accounting or finance qualifications (not essential).
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and ability to deliver outstanding service in a professional, approachable manner.
• Enthusiastic about supporting team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
