Our client based in Waterlooville is looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader. This would be very much hands on and lead all aspects of the Stores/Warehouse and widespread support to the Workshop & Field teams.

Supervise daily warehouse operations, leading a team to ensure efficient picking, packing, and dispatching while upholding safety, quality, and productivity targets, involving staff motivation and performance, workflow coordination, inventory accuracy, and collaboration with other departments.

Key duties include allocating tasks, enforcing safety protocols, resolving issues, and fostering a positive, high‑performing work environment, often requiring effective communication and hands‑on leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
    Motivate, guide, and manage warehouse operatives, assigning daily tasks and managing schedules.
  • Operational Oversight:
    Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure smooth, efficient workflow and meet SLAs.
  • Health & Safety:
    Enforce strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Performance Management:
    Provide feedback, handle performance issues, and develop team members.
  • Inventory Control:
    Ensure accurate stock records, conduct cycle counts, and maintain high inventory accuracy.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify areas for improvement, implement new procedures, and help streamline operations.
  • Cross‑functional

    Collaboration:

    Liaise with transport, customer service, and other departments to align activities.

You will also oversee the general warehouse area, making sure it is safe and productive during your shift.

Skills & Experience
  • Full driving Licence and current Forklift Licence
  • Good I.T. skills with attention to detail

  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
Hours and Holiday

40 hrs per week (Mon‑Fri 8 hrs per day). 25 days holiday + 8 days Bank Holidays per year.
