Director of Recruiting | Partner to Administrative, HR, Accounting & Finance Professionals

Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of public accounting experience, with a strong understanding of tax preparation, compliance, and planning. You will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio, preparing individual and corporate tax returns, and providing valuable tax advice to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of all tax return types (i.e., personal, corporate, partnership, estate/trust, Gift, Not-for-profit, etc.)
  • Preparation and review of corporate, S-corporation, partnership, and fiduciary returns
  • Prepare Payroll and Sales tax returns
  • Prepare reports and financial analysis for clients and Partners as needed
  • Communicate progress of engagements, issues, and resolutions to clients through written and verbal correspondence
  • Anticipate problem areas of engagement and develop procedures to address relevant issues; keep supervisors informed of important developments and recommend solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA or advanced certification in Tax Accounting preferred
  • 4-6+ years of Tax Accounting/ Accounting firm experience
  • Understanding of tax concepts related to individuals, C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, estates, and trusts
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation of individual, partnership, and corporation returns;
    Fiduciary return preparation a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable tax codes and in changes to the tax code.
  • High proficiency working with the necessary software used in tax preparation
