Overview
Treeline Biosciences is seeking a Medical Director to provide strategic medical guidance and lead the development of new hematology and oncology agents. The role involves oversight of clinical programs across multiple indications and assets, bridging basic research with clinical development strategy in a scientifically rich environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and strategic medical guidance for early‑pipeline agents.
• Develop and oversee clinical development plans that support registration trials.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of therapeutic areas and emerging trends.
• Co‑ordinate with internal stakeholders, external experts, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with clinical scientists, operations, biostatisticians, and data managers to design protocols and develop study analytics.
• Act as medical monitor for assigned studies, reviewing clinical data and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice.
• Support biomarker strategy planning with the Translational Biomarker team.
• Engage with external investigators and sites, facilitating site selection, feasibility assessments, and query resolution.
• Participate in regulatory interactions, including end‑of‑phase meetings.
• May provide business‑development support for licensing and partnership opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• MD with board certification (or equivalent) in a hematology/oncology subspecialty.
• At least 4 years of clinical practice experience.
• PhD or equivalent lab‑based science training preferred.
• Experience leading complex, global, early‑phase oncology programs within pharma, biotech, or academic settings.
• Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and clinical relevance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ethical integrity.
• Deep knowledge of Good Clinical Practice standards.

Compensation
Exempt position. Annual base salary range: $302,276 to $370,530 (based on location: Watertown, MA). Final salary will depend on experience, education, and other factors. Treeline Biosciences is a multi‑state employer; salary may vary for other regions.
