As our Clinical Assistant you will provide vital signs, activities of daily living, and give medications to students under the medication delegation program. You will also provide pertinent medical information to registered nurses.

• Obtaining, measuring and recording vital signs, according to the specific health needs of the student
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, advanced practice provider and/or physician
• Medication administration
• Provide G‑tube feeds
• Health Services clinic support (assist with trainings, vital signs, equipment support)
• Liaison between cottages and program nurses
• Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions
• Adhere to health services policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, correspondence and effectively present information
• Ability to respond to questions from groups, family or advocates
• Maintain current ProCPR certification
• Ability to perform Safety Care as necessary, including non‑violent crisis intervention

• High School Diploma or college degree
• Nursing Assistant or equivalent certification
• Currently in the last year of an accredited Nursing School
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and electronic medication administration
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
• Experience in a long‑term care facility or a facility delivering care to many patients at once

Pay range: $19.04 – $26.90 per hour, based on skills, experience and qualification.
