Position: Pharmacist – Join Our Growing, Community-Focused Team in Watertown!

Overview

We're an independent community pharmacy moving from Jamaica Plain to Watertown seeking a pharmacist to join our team. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications.
  • Responsible for the accurate delivery of services to clients.
  • Ability to lead a team of 4-5 technicians including but not limited to training new technicians, organizing daily retail workflow, overseeing in-house delivery services and helping reduce the prescription to patient turnaround time.
  • Ensure that billing documents and inventory control records are completed and accurate.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures.
  • Work in collaboration with other pharmacy staff to achieve clinical effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain strict control over distribution and usage of all medications, including government controlled products such as narcotics and barbiturates.
  • Ensure appropriate record keeping for each prescription filled for pharmacy files, for control files on narcotics, poisons, habit-forming drugs or for billing records.
  • Monitor and participate in QA activities.
  • Requirements
    • Current and Unrestricted Pharmacist license in the Commonwealth of MA.
    • 2 or more years of Retail Pharmacy experience.
    • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
    • Ability to discuss sensitive and confidential information in a polished and unbiased manner.
    • Multilingual, Spanish a plus.
