Power BI Developer - Consultant

Overview

A fast-growing biotech company in Watertown, MA is seeking a Power BI Contractor to take ownership of an executive-level dashboard initiative. This role will focus on enhancing and supporting dashboards that provide real-time visibility into clinical trial data and preparing for upcoming phases of reporting and analytics.

• Support and enhance existing Power BI dashboards that deliver real-time insights to leadership.
• Improve dashboard usability and visualization design, ensuring solutions are both elegant and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and security.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure integration with Snowflake and Data Lake environments.
• Provide recommendations on visualization improvements and data storytelling approaches.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard design).
• Experience working with Snowflake and/or Data Lake environments.
• Background in data visualization best practices with a strong eye for UI/UX in reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with business stakeholders.
• Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments strongly preferred.
