Lead scientist overseeing biochemical and biophysical assay strategies for early discovery of targeted protein degraders at C4 Therapeutics.
Responsibilities:
design and optimize assays to characterize protein interactions, lead complex operational work streams, interpret integrated data to inform compound prioritization, and serve as a scientific partner to project teams. Manage CRO collaborations and contribute to platform development.
Qualifications:PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, or related field; 8+ years of post‑graduate experience in biotech/pharma, with expertise in protein–protein and protein–small molecule interactions, assay design, and data analysis.
High-Value:focus on targeted protein degradation, molecular glues, heterobivalent degraders, with experience in biochemical/biophysical methods such as SPR, BLI, TR-FRET, AlphaLISA.
Preferred:knowledge of structural biology, computational chemistry, proteomics, and cell pharmacology; experience managing projects and mentorship.
