Position: PCU RN – Nights Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30) Schedule Requirements:
Weekends, holidays, and on-call required Contract Length: 13 weeks Radius Rule:
Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Current RN license (NYS) BLS and ACLS required PALS preferred IV and IV contrast certification required Completion of a coronary care course or challenge exam during orientation Basic lethal dysrhythmia certification within 6 months NIHSS certification within 6 months Experience Critical care experience preferred Must have completed at least 1 successful travel assignment;
first-time travelers not considered Previous Samaritan employees must be gone at least 2 years and eligible for rehire Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care assessment (clinical, teaching, mental, spiritual) Ability to recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques Function well under stress; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong leadership skills, ability to prioritize and delegate;
may assume charge nurse duties Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
