Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current NY RN license and at least two years of recent OR experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts are 12 hours in length, three shifts per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call responsibilities required during this contract
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills and use of typical OR clinical instrumentation are required
- May be required to take charge nurse duties as needed
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are expected
- Must be able to work effectively under stress and demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to safely move patients using appropriate lifts as needed
- Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide high quality OR patient care
- Active NY RN license
- BLS certification is required and ACLS certification is preferred
- Minimum of two years of recent OR RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Preferred candidates have at least one year of medical/surgical experience
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
