American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring NY RN license and on-call availability with a 30-minute response time.

• Operating Room/ASU setting
• 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 5 shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• 13-week contract

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation used in a safe and aseptic OR/ASU environment
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
• Strong assessment skills across clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual patient needs
• Ability to recognize safety issues and safely implement patient lift and transfer techniques
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and delegation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills

• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must function effectively in high-stress situations
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius, local candidates not accepted
