About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Remelters for a metal manufacturing company in Watertown, SD. In this role, you'll help melt and refine metal used in the casting process while supporting safe, high-quality production operations. WhatYou'll Do as a Remelter:
- Operate furnaces used to melt and refine metal prior to casting
- Drain, transfer, and pour molten metal into molds using appropriate equipment
- Monitor furnace temperatures, gauges, and metal conditions to maintain specifications
- Inspect furnaces and equipment to identify defects, wear, or operational issues
- Remove impurities from molten metal and collect samples for analysis
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and quality procedures
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds continuously
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud environments, and around moving machinery
- Manufacturing, foundry, or furnace experience is helpful but not required
