We are hiring a Machine Set-Up Operator for an engineered fastener manufacturer in Watertown. If you have a solid mechanical aptitude and enjoy configuring production machinery to ensure precise manufacturing runs, you will find a great fit here. As a Set-Up Operator, you will play a vital role on the shop floor by configuring equipment, adjusting tooling, and troubleshooting machinery to produce high quality metal fasteners for industrial customers worldwide.

• $22/hr
• 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM) or 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 2:30 PM - 12:30 AM)
• Contract to hire
• Option for a 3 day weekend every week with 2nd shift
• Stable full time schedule with competitive hourly pay

• Set up, adjust, and calibrate production machinery and tooling according to job specifications
• Perform first piece inspections to ensure fastener dimensions and tolerances meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot equipment adjustments and make operational tweaks during active production runs
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep machinery running at peak efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while adhering to all shop safety protocols

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in machine setup, tooling, or advanced machine operation
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using precision measuring tools like micrometers or calipers
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions accurately
• Physical ability to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 50 pounds
