• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Responsible for opening the back door of the store for deliveries and assisting with vendor deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and reverse logistics.
• Assist manager or assistant manager in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure on‑hand quantities are correct.
• Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed.
• Handle basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage and compliance with local regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor maintenance and request repairs as needed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement according to policies; restock using first‑in‑first‑out method.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at Pharmacy outlet windows as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks assigned.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

• Responsible for holding store keys to open and close without manager as necessary.
• Assist with coordinating warehouse and vendor ordering processes.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Considerable employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
