Alfond Youth & Community Center – Part‑time (25 hrs/week during the school year; up to 40 hrs in summer).

Salary
: $15.25–$17.16 per hour.

Overview
:
Energetic, positive, and dedicated educator leading children through daily fitness, sports, and wellness activities in our After‑School and Summer Enrichment Programs. No Education Degree required; useful background in Community Health, Athletics, or Physical Education preferred.

Key Responsibilities
:

• Plan and implement daily curriculum for children during out‑of‑school time, teaching athletic fundamentals, sportsmanship, and health and wellness.
• Lead weekly gym classes and/or wellness activities with the AYCC Preschool program and community groups.
• Maintain and organize gym equipment, advise on needs, and create a yearly budget with the program supervisor.
• Demonstrate willingness to participate in all areas of the After‑School Program and uphold a healthy and safe workplace environment.

:

• Strong customer service, team player, and role model behavior.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to observe student behavior, enforce safety regulations, and apply behavior management techniques.
• Experience working with children of various ages and skill levels.
• Emotional maturity and problem‑solving abilities.

Requirements
:

• High School diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred).
• Minimum two years of work experience with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified.
