Seasonal Associate - Operations

Position Summary

Johnny's is currently hiring for Seasonal Associate I – Operations for all shifts. This role involves working in all operational departments and requires cross‑training in Shipping, Warehouse, and Seed Packing to support business needs. The ideal candidate will be motivated and have excellent organizational skills.
This is a seasonal business, so scheduled working hours may vary during peak times. During the busiest period, it will be required to work two (2) overtime days per month, usually scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.

• 1st Shift – $17.51/hr
  Mon‑Fri: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (January changes to 5:50 am – 2:20 pm)
• 1st Shift – $17.51/hr
  Sun‑Thu: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (January changes to 5:50 am – 2:20 pm)
• 2nd Shift – $19.51/hr
  Mon‑Fri: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
• Weekend Shift – $19.51/hr
  Fri‑Mon: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (January changes to 5:50 am – 2:20 pm)

Rates include a $2.00/hr differential. Flexible part‑time hours are available for Weekend Shifts.

These positions are seasonal and will end based on a season‑end date or an agreed‑upon end date. All qualifying seasonal employees will be eligible for an "End of Season Bonus" of up to $750.00. During your active employment at Johnny's, you will also be eligible for an employee discount on Johnny's merchandise. This discount is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Seasonal Employee Handbook.

You will pack seed into both commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical tools available. Working in a repetitive process environment and following detailed instructions are essential. Basic computer skills and familiarity with converting ounces/pounds to grams are required. Tasks include assembling kits and products, processing bulk seed orders for commercial purposes, and weighing orders between 50 and 70 pounds.

You will also learn to perform various tasks in Shipping and Warehouse departments, such as locating incoming materials, using inventory systems, reorganizing materials, shrink‑wrapping, labeling, supporting receivers, assisting with sampling, and reporting issues. You will use handheld devices for accurate inventory picking and tracking, and prepare inventory for shipping. Maintaining a balanced, efficient, and clean workspace is expected.
