Food Services Associate – Alfond Youth & Community Center

Join our mission‑driven kitchen team as a Food Services Associate. In this role you will play a key part in delivering exceptional guest and member service across our Youth Cafeteria, Wellness Window and Concession Stands. You will handle food preparation, cooking, cleaning, serving and transactions while ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our members and guests.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare food/concessions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Assist in preparing healthy and nutritional meals for children attending AYCC programs.
  • Follow established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation in all kitchen areas.
  • Attend all essential trainings and certifications.
  • Be aware and sensitive to children new to the program and orient them to program logistics, schedules and rules.
  • Be aware of allergies and other relevant health information.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalence preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record desirable.
  • Food Safety/Safe Handling Certification from an approved source.
  • Obtain certification within 6 months if not currently holding.
  • Civil Rights training required and provided for all those associated with Food Service.
Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in food distribution and preparation.
  • 1 to 3 years of customer service experience.
Work Schedule

10–19 hours per week. Shifts vary and are flexible within Sunday through Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Salary

$15.25 per hour
