DescriptionAre you passionate about food service and making a positive impact in your community? The Alfond Youth & Community Center is seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team in a dynamic food service role. This position involves delivering outstanding customer service while supporting food operations for our childcare cafeteria and our Wellness Window. You'll play a vital role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our members and program participants.

- Prepare food/concessions in a timely and efficient manner
- Appropriately handle cash and credit card transactions
- Assist in preparing healthy and nutritional meals for the children that attend our programs throughout the AYCC (Including but not limited to the Wellness Window, Concessions on and off site, Wrigley Field, and Augusta Boys and Girls Club)
- Follow established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation in all areas of the Kitchen including but not limited to following all appropriate local and state health department food safe rules and regulations.
- Be aware and sensitive of those children who are new to the program and take the necessary steps to ensure that they are oriented to program logistics, schedules, and rules that govern conduct and activities with the Alfond Youth & Community Center as it pertains to food services.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and carry out discipline in a manner that preserves self-esteem and is in accordance with the Alfond Youth & Community Center philosophy as it pertains to food services.
- Be aware of allergies and/or other relevant health information
- A high school education or GED equivalence
- Food Safety/Safe Handling Certification from an approved source
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in food distribution and preparation
- 1 to 3 years of customer service experience
- Ready to adapt to change quickly
- Demonstrate internal and external customer service skills.

Shifts will vary. 10-20 hours per week
