A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our client's established accountancy firm in Watford. This is a key role within their expanding Audit team, providing the chance to lead audits across a diverse portfolio of clients while developing your career in a supportive and professional environment.
You will play an active part in the firm's growth by managing on-site teams, planning and reviewing audits, and ensuring delivery of high-quality service to clients. This position is ideal for a qualified auditor seeking a step up into a supervisory role with excellent progression prospects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audits under the direction of a Manager or Principal.
- Manage on-site audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments.
- Take responsibility for planning, fieldwork, completion procedures, and preparation of management letters.
- Assist Audit Managers with delegated tasks such as planning, completion, and file reviews.
- Support the supervision and work-based training of junior team members.
- Work across a varied client base including mid-corporates, SMEs, larger groups, and UK subsidiaries of overseas parents.
- Undertake specialist audits for Pension Schemes, Charities, Solicitors, FCA regulated entities, and Not-for-Profit organisations.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' audit experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage multiple audits concurrently.
- Confident IT user, familiar with modern audit and accounting software packages.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable approach with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
- Right to work in the UK required.
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working options.
- Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to one week's salary.
