Band 3 - Patient Pathway Admin, Oral, Maxillofacial & Orthodontics

An opportunity has arisen for a 1‑day a week Receptionist who will also work 4 days a week as a Patients Pathway Administrator in the Oral Surgery and Orthodontic Department at West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust. This role is for UK residents only; the Trust is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship.

• Welcoming patients into the department, checking them in and booking outpatient follow‑up appointments during the receptionist day.
• Ensuring oral surgery and orthodontic outpatient appointments are booked and clinics are prepped in advance during the Patients Pathway Administrator days.
• Registering new patients onto the system and scanning documents onto Cerner.
• Answering patient telephone queries and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, and professional with a flexible approach to work.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.
• Experience with patient administration, appointment booking, and telephone handling.
• Knowledge of Cerner or similar systems is an advantage.
