Our client, a respected prestige main car dealership in Watford, Hertfordshire, is looking to appoint a driven and skilled Workshop Controller to oversee a team of 16 technicians, 4 apprentices, and a dedicated team of service advisors. • Competitive basic salary of £36,000, with potential earnings up to £50,000
• Working hours Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm, with Saturday rota (if required)

• Lead and manage a team of technicians, apprentices, and service advisors effectively
• Maximise workshop productivity and efficiency through effective planning and work allocation
• Ensure high standards of customer service and technical quality are maintained
• Allocate work efficiently and oversee workshop scheduling to optimise throughput
• Monitor team performance, providing coaching and support to enhance results
• Maintain health and safety standards within the workshop environment
• Liaise with Service Advisors and customers to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer satisfaction

• Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Service Advisor, or in a similar supervisory role within a main dealership or automotive environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Knowledge of workshop processes, vehicle repairs, and technical standards
• Customer-focused approach with an understanding of technical services
• Ability to manage workshop planning whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
