Job Specification
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a £300k Cat A & Cat B office fit-out project in Watford. The works are being carried out within a live, occupied commercial building, so previous experience managing projects in operational environments is essential.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard, whilst maintaining excellent communication with the client and building occupants.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the site.
Coordinate subcontractors and oversee all site activities.
Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.
Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
Monitor quality and ensure works meet project specifications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and stakeholders.
Work closely with the Project Manager, providing regular progress updates.
Resolve site issues proactively and make informed decisions to keep the project on track.
Ensure minimal disruption to the occupied building throughout the works.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience managing Cat A & Cat B office fit-out projects.
Experience working within live, occupied commercial buildings.
Strong client-facing skills with a professional approach.
SMSTS.
Black CSCS Card.
First Aid ellent knowledge of construction health & safety legislation.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a confident and proactive Site Manager who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the site and confidently manage a busy office fit-out. You'll be someone who can think on your feet, build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and deliver a high-quality project safely and on schedule
