The Role
We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join our growing team. In this dual-role, you will manage a portfolio of education sector projects from initial feasibility through to completion, providing both strategic advice and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead refurbishment and construction projects across primary, secondary, and higher education institutions.
Carry out condition surveys, feasibility studies, and defect analysis.
Manage projects through RIBA stages, ensuring compliance with DfE and local authority regulations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide contract administration and project management support across multiple schemes.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements
BSc in Building Surveying, Project Management or Architecture
MRICS or MCIOB qualified (preferred).
5+ years’ experience in building surveying and/or project management, ideally within the education sector.
Proven track record in managing capital works projects and stakeholder engagement.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and funding streams (e.g., CIF, DfE guidance).
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
