Project Manager, Construction Manager​/ Foreman, Procurement ​/ Purchasing

An established and highly experienced construction and engineering business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team.

Working across complex, high-specification projects, the successful candidate will take responsibility for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants, designers, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities will include:
 
Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
Developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets and delivery plans.
Managing project risk, quality, health & safety and commercial performance.
Coordinating design, engineering, procurement and construction activities.
Managing subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
Monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions where required.
Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Managing project documentation, reporting and change control.
Ensuring projects comply with relevant legislation, specifications and company standards.
Supporting commissioning, qualification and project handover where required.  About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong construction or engineering background and experience delivering complex projects.
Ideally, you will have:
 
Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish.

Experience with in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory or similar technically demanding environments.
Strong understanding of construction, engineering and project management processes.
Excellent programme, budget and risk management skills.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and supply chains.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
The ability and willingness to travel to project locations as required.  

Experience with in a design-and-build or integrated project delivery environment would be highly advantageous.

Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, APMP/PMP or a construction/project management degree would be desirable.
