The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading main contractor on a construction project based in Watford.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working on-site within the construction industry, ideally for a main contractor, and will be confident managing project documentation while supporting the wider site team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring accurate filing, tracking and distribution.
Control drawings, technical submissions, RFIs and other construction documentation.
Ensure all project information is kept up to date and compliant with company procedures.
Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and project management.
Manage document revisions and ensure the latest information is available to relevant stakeholders.
Support the site team with general administration and reporting.
Maintain document registers and assist with project handover documentation.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
Essential:
Experience working on a live construction site.
Ideally previous experience working for a main contractor.
Good knowledge of document management systems such as Aconex, Viewpoint, Asite or similar.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
