We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer to join the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer!

The Role:

Majestic is looking for a Junior Designer to develop their existing skills by working with the senior creative staff on a range of ambitious and innovative projects.

Responsible for helping to drive the creative direction of campaigns, an understanding of typography, layout, animation and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible.

Communication is a big part of the job, so the junior designer must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process. Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends is also key when moving towards promotion and recognition.

  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Location: Watford - Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute high quality designs in accordance with Majestic’s brand guidelines across all channels including web and email banners, social media types and POS.
  • Input into creative meetings and share ideas. Pitch creative ideas to colleagues.
  • Produce attractive and effective designs for all media.
  • Communicate and liaise with the Head of Content & Brand, and Design Manager to receive feedback on designs.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the design team to produce final products
  • Liaise effectively with agencies and other team members.
  • Support the team through the execution of campaigns and projects.
Knowledge &

Skills Required:
  • Previous experience working as part of a design team.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment.
  • The ability to see projects through from inception to production.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Motivation to maintain and improve design standards.
  • Willingness to listen to feedback and produce pixel-perfect and print-ready work.
