The Design Manager will report to the Director of Design, UK, I & Nordics, and will take responsibility for leading the Fixed Renovation Cycle Management (FRCM) projects across EMEA. The role also includes leading the delivery of Off Cycle Renovation (OCR), Focused Service Renovation and Product Replacement Projects, alongside reporting and presentation work on behalf of the AD&C team.
Position Summary:General Renovation Project Delivery
- Take responsibility for the design development, review, approval and delivery of renovation projects, in accordance with the defined FRCM or OCR scope
- Work with Hotel and Owner teams to advise on external design consultants as appropriate for each project
- Support with design for projects across UK, I & Nordics, including new developments and conversions
- Work closely with the design team to establish design direction and key brand identity elements
- Preparing design narratives and material boards as required
- Guide external consultants on Hilton brand standards and requirements.
- Fulfill a designer role on small like for like or limited design scope projects
- Support the Design Specialist in maintaining up to date records of all FRCM projects on the BOSS, O2
NUG and Project Hub platforms - Support the Design Specialist in liaising with the Brand team to ensure coordination and alignment on all FRCM projects
- Support the Design Specialist in the collection of project information on renovation projects hotel ‘non-comp’ reporting purposes
- Support the Design Specialist in FRCM project scoping work across EMEA
- Contribute to reports and presentations for the AD&C team as follows but not limited to:
- Quarterly Report
- Year End Presentations
- Executive Presentations for SVP and VP
- Brand Presentations quarterly updates
- General presentations as required by the VP Design
- Prepare reports and presentations as required for hotel owners and developers.
Applicants will be expected to have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in helping hotel operations teams deliver interior design renovation projects
- Knowledge of the hotel sector and roles and responsibilities of the various functions and management types of hotels
- Knowledge of the funding source and procurement routes of key Hilton suppliers
- Knowledge of procurement, project management, and design products and finishes
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum requirements:
- Minimum 18 months+ working within the hospitality sector specifically within hotels
- Minimum 18 months+ interior design experience
- Education:
Minimum 2:1 BA Interior Architecture and Design - Proficiency in InDesign, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch Up and Power Point
- Must speak English fluently
- Ability to travel
