Apparel Designer

Apparel Designer Sport & Streetwear Watford | Up to £38,000 DOE | Full-time, Office-based We are recruiting for an experienced Apparel Designer to join a business behind a portfolio of globally recognised sport and streetwear brands . This is an exciting opportunity to work across SMU lines, inline collections and special projects , developing trend-led apparel from initial research and concept through to technical development and fit.

Key Responsibilities Research seasonal trends, key items and cultural references Create mood boards and trend boards to define creative direction Develop original apparel designs and technical specifications Work closely with Design, Product and Sales teams on seasonal range building Produce detailed spec sheets and tech packs Support and run fit sessions, updating specifications and communicating changes to suppliers Manage development samples and ensure deadlines are met in line with the critical path Travel when required to meet clients, brand owners and collaborators Skills & Experience Minimum 4 years apparel design experience within streetwear, active wear or sportswear Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills Strong design process from research and concept through to development and technical drawings Excellent knowledge of current sport and streetwear trends Confident in both freehand and digital specification work Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics and pattern cutting Organised, accurate and able to manage multiple deadlines If you have a strong background in sport, streetwear or active wear design and are looking for your next opportunity, we would love to see your CV and portfolio .
