Veterinary surgeon Vacancy, development and mentorship available from Certificate holders

My client in the Watford area have a branch and a 24-Hour Hospital and are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced and collaborative team. Working across both sites, this position offers an excellent combination of first-opinion practice and hospital-based medicine, providing a varied caseload alongside access to advanced diagnostics and specialist support. A full-time rota would typically involve two days at each practice with a 1 in 6 weekend commitment at the hospital, although part-time applications, including around 30 hours per week, are also welcomed.

The Watford hospital is equipped with modern facilities including CT, endoscopy, digital radiography and dental X-ray, with MRI available nearby. The branch has recently undergone a rebrand and continues to grow a loyal client base, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to enjoy continuity of care while benefiting from a broad range of clinical cases.

The role is supported by three highly experienced partners who bring a wealth of expertise across orthopaedics, internal medicine, cardiology and surgery. Their knowledge and commitment to mentoring create an excellent environment for Veterinary Surgeons looking to further develop their skills, regardless of their level of experience.

This position is primarily supported, with a small amount of sole charge responsibility, making it well suited to a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident managing routine consultations, surgery and dentistry. There is also a shared bank holiday on-call rota, while the practice places a strong emphasis on flexibility and achieving a healthy work-life balance.
