12PAs negotiable. The core hours are 08:00 to 18:00 and on call shifts are 08:00 to 20:30 and 20:00 to 08:30. The rota is currently 1:8 and includes normal days, long days and nights. Full details will be discussed at interview.
Responsibility will be to the Consultant Lead for Specialty Doctors and the Clinical Director. Thesuccessfulcandidateswillhavetheopportunitytoreviewthejobplanwiththe Clinical Director or representative at least once a year.
The post holder will form one member of a full shift rota which may be in theatres, ICU or obstetrics. In addition to daytime ICU shifts, work allocated may vary according to requirements and may include daytime PAs in main theatre, day surgery and obstetrics according to experience.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesAll Specialty Doctorsin Critical Careand Anaesthesiahaveacontinuingresponsibilityforthe proper functioning ofthe
Department. As far asispractical,theappointeewill be expected to provide emergency cover for colleagues when required.
Teaching, Audit and Clinical Governance half-days are multidisciplinary and will incorporate differentareasofCG,includingjointM&Mmeetings, clinical audit,complaintreviewandcritical incident reporting.
All Specialty doctors are required to be involved in a clinical audit project.
