A fantastic opportunity has become available at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford
, where we are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and is eager to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Hours: Monday–Friday, Full School Day
Contract Start:
January 2026 (with potential for extension)
You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in KS1, including providing 1:1 assistance for children who require additional provision.
ExperienceRequired:
You must have recent experience working in a primary school setting with KS1 and/or KS2 pupils. All relevant primary experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching AssistantSupport the day-to-day care and learning of children in KS1
Help create a warm, nurturing and engaging classroom environment
Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
Ensure the safety, well-being and inclusion of all pupils
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a high standard of provision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
