Salary: £34,398 £ 46,839 (MPS/UPS, based on experience)

We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Bushey that is well regarded for its strong academic outcomes, inclusive values, and commitment to staff wellbeing and development. The Mathematics Department is a motivated and close-knit team that places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, shared best practice, and student progress. The school is now seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join the department on a full-time, long-term basis from February 2026.

As a Maths Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence, fluency, and problem-solving skills. You will deliver lessons that are engaging, well-paced, and accessible, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported to achieve their potential.

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes

• Plan structured and differentiated lessons to support varied abilities

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

• Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE examinations

• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Monitor progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

• Take part in enrichment activities and wider school initiatives

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics

• Uses reflective and creative teaching strategies

• Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Is committed to ongoing professional development

• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply

• A supportive and collaborative staff team

• High-quality CPD and clear routes for career progression
