Role Overview
Are you passionate about enhancing young people’s careers? The School of Health Education and Care is looking for a part time Lecturer who will inspire our learners to achieve their full potential during their time at West Herts College.
Core Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess across Health and Social Care courses and Psychology program at levels 1, 2, and 3.
- Deliver skills and knowledge to high standards through preparing resources, delivering lessons, marking student work, ensuring exam success, and supporting students with their whole programme of study.
- Teach and embed essential skills to enable learners to successfully progress to next steps, whether continuing at West Herts College, Higher Education or employment.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care and/or Psychology.
- Relevant vocational experience.
- Experience working with young people or apprentices in a college or educational setting is desirable.
- Teaching qualification is advantageous; full teacher training is offered to the successful candidate.
- Essential skills and knowledge required in Health and Social Care and Psychology.
- Inspirational and motivational approach to educate and encourage learners towards a successful career.
- Part‑time role working 14.5 hours per week at Watford and Hemel Hempstead campuses.
